In the world of sports, you have the players who dominate their respective sports, but at the end of the day, they are also humans who have their favorite sport, player, and team. Fans have witnessed Serbian star Novak Djokovic being involved in other sports with other players. Similarly, Gareth Bale, a former footballer, was seen showing off his moves in tennis.
In a video released by Sphera Sports, the former football player was seen playing tennis like a pro. The video captured Bale hitting a couple of strong forehands which seemed like it was played by a professional tennis player.
With that right hand I would have had a much better chance of being number 1.
Alex jokingly commented in Spanish.
Football fans know the power with which the Welsh star can strike the ball. With the same power and striking ability, there is hope for Bale in tennis as well. The former footballer was earlier seen playing golf with Novak, and fans were awestruck after the video of Bale playing football was released.
Football Pro Gareth Bale always involved in tennis
Football winger Gareth Bale has always shown an interest in other sports like tennis and golf. Many years ago, Bale showed his interest by playing a few free tennis practice sessions.
He was seen at Tottenham Hotspur, where the footballer was seen participating in the campaign and doing fitness sessions with younger kids. He also played a couple of practice matches against younger kids as a celebration of the sport.
That was when Bale was emerging in football to go on and become one of the best. He retired from his sport earlier this year before being spotted at the Ryder’s Cup alongside tennis superstar Novak Djokovic. Now Bale has also been seen playing a few tennis shots with immense grace and perfection.
The 34-year-old Welsh player started his career as a defender and went on to become one of the best players as a winger. He played for a couple of teams from different countries and recorded three La Liga titles, five UEFA Champions League trophies, three Spanish cups, and more. After a phenomenal record, Bale finally retired and started his next phase of life.
