Arya Sabalenka, the winner of the Australian Open, has progressed to the Round of 16 at the Miami Open, where she will face Barbora Krejcikova for the third time in a row. Sabalenka defeated Marie Bouzkova 6-1, 6-2 in a match where she was in control from the beginning. Sabalenka had previously taken a medical timeout for an upper left leg problem during her second-round victory over Shelby Rogers.
Sabalenka revealed that she has a set of exercises that she needs to perform during matches to manage her leg muscle. Despite the issue, her team helped her to concentrate on her game and not on her injury. In the third-round match against Bouzkova, Sabalenka dominated from the outset and secured a 5-1 lead by breaking her opponent twice in the first set. She then comfortably held her serve to close out the set in just 28 minutes. Sabalenka continued her momentum in the second set, managing her service games without any trouble. She went on to break Bouzkova one more time at 5-1 before wrapping up the match in 67 minutes.
The upcoming quarter-finals match will see Sabalenka face Krejcikova, who has previously won the Dubai Championship, defeating players like Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, and Iga Swiatek. This will be the third consecutive meeting between Sabalenka and Krejcikova. Sabalenka acknowledged that it will be a challenging match against Krejcikova but shared her strategy to put a lot of pressure on her opponent.
According to Sabalenka, Krejcikova is a skilled player who can place the ball wherever she desires if given time. Sabalenka stated that the match against Krejcikova will be challenging, but she plans to put a lot of pressure on her opponent. To do so, she intends to maintain a strong offensive game and avoid giving Krejcikova much time to work on her shots. Sabalenka acknowledged Krejcikova as a great player and expects a tough battle against her.

Koltsov, who is from the same province as Sabalenka, Minsk, is a former professional ice hockey player from Belarus. He played for nearly 18 years and also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL for three seasons. Additionally, he represented Belarus at the Winter Olympics in 2002 and 2010.
It is unknown when the couple started their relationship, but they have been a couple for a considerable time. The earliest Instagram post featuring both of them goes back to June 2021. Sabalenka took to her Instagram stories to post a video of her morning workout routine with her boyfriend and his son, Stefan. The trio was captured doing abs exercises, while the cute little boy was seen crawling under Sabalenka’s abdominal area.
