He also made it to the final of the Indian Wells Masters but had a shocking start to the clay season. He once again managed to win the French Open- his 22nd major title and also made it to the semifinal of Wimbledon. At the US Open, he bowed out of the Round of 16 and lost his opening match at the Paris Masters.

Casper Ruud started the season with a title triumph at the Argentina Open and then made it to the final of the Miami Masters. Felix Auger-Aliassime has finally lived up to his potential this season. He won his maiden career title at Rotterdam earlier this year and of late, is in hot form. He won three back-to-back titles, the Firenze Open, the European Open, and the Swiss Indoors before making it to the semifinal of the Paris Masters.

Taylor Fritz made it to the ATP Finals after World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz withdrew from the tournament. He was the first alternate for Turin and had a pretty impressive season too. He reached the Round of 16 of the Australian Open and then won his maiden Masters title at Indian Wells. He then won the Eastbourne International on grass and after the US Open, won the Japan Open.

Stefanos Tsitsipas started the season with a semifinal outing at the Australian Open and then made it to the final at Rotterdam. He then defended his Monte Carlo Masters title and reached the final of the Rome Masters. On grass, he won the Mallorca Open and then reached the final of the Cincinnati Masters. He also made back-to-back finals at Astana and Stockholm.

Daniil Medvedev made it to the final of the Australian Open and then two back-to-back finals on the grass at S-Hertogenbosch and Halle. After Wimbledon, he won the Los Cabos Open and also made it to the semifinal of the Cincinnati Masters. He also won the Vienna Open ahead of the Paris Masters.

Andrey Rublev reached the quarterfinals at two majors this year- French Open and US Open. He started the season with two consecutive titles at Marseille and Dubai. He also won the Serbia Open on clay and after the US Open, won the Gijon Open.

Novak Djokovic had an abysmal start to the season where he was denied entry into Australia because of his vaccination status. Over the course of the next few months, he missed the Golden Swing and the North-American swing but he won the Rome Masters, Wimbledon, Tel Aviv Open, and the Astana Open. He also made it to the final of the Paris Masters.

Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tsitsipas will meet in the first semifinal. Both Nadal and Tsitsipas have favorable clay court game but are amongst the best on indoor hard courts too. Tsitsipas may have an edge because of his current form but Nadal will have the hunger to finally win it big at the year-end championship.

In the second semifinal, Novak Djokovic will face Felix Auger-Aliassime. Djokovic is finally back in form but Felix has been the best player on indoor hard courts of late. Having said that, the Serb will still be the favorite to win the match.
