She, after winning against the 2023 Australian Open champion interacted with mediapersons talking about inconsistency and irregularity in the women’s tennis.

She thinks that there are many brilliant players on the tour which she considers a major reason for her inconsistent performances on the WTA Tour. She also adds that it may not be anything of a major concern but makes the sport more interesting. It motivates her to improve herself every week.

“Why is constancy so necessary? There are so many good players, every week there is a player who plays better than the others, then the next week comes and it’s another one. I don’t know how to say it, I’m sorry but when I see so many successful players, it gives me extra strength, I see that if they can do it, I can do it too, it motivates me and I’m sure that motivates the other girls. Maybe there wasn’t as much consistency the last two years, but I feel like we’re very close. Any one of us can beat anyone, so I find it very interesting not to see the same person winning all the time… except for Iga last year for four months,” she said.
