Bianca Andreescu reveals the reason for refusing to star in Netflix’s ‘Break Point’
Andreescu reveals her 'personal reasons' for not being able to take part in Netflix show.

Bianca Andreescu is famously known for winning the 2019 US Open by defeating six-time champion, Serena Williams. The Canadian is also the highest-ranked player in the country in WTA history. She is also the first Canadian to win a major singles title. Andreescu is also one of the few women players to win a Grand Slam in her teenage years.
Recently, Andreescu was in conversation with a podcast, where she explained her reasons for not being a part of the Netflix show, BreakPoint. While she got an offer to star in the first season, she had to refuse owing to some personal reasons. The five-part Netflix series covered was uploaded on the streaming platform on January 13.
The Netflix show deliberately wanted to highlight lesser-known players and push them to the front. The World No. 42 was one of those players enlisted to make an appearance. Andreescu revealed that she was facing some personal hardships which were hard to ignore. She added that her primary focus was her game and didn’t want cameras surrounding her.
“Yeah, so I actually got offer to be in first season but I turned it down because first of all, I was going through a hard time and I just really wanted to focus on my tennis. One thing was that I didn’t want, kind of, cameras to be around me all the time.” Andreescu stated.
Andreescu also said that she is in much better condition now. In case Netflix offered the show to her again, she would be inclined to take part. Bianca further said, “I spoke to some of the players and they told me it wasn’t bombarding whatsoever. They were very respectful and yeah so if they ask me to do it again, I definitely won’t back down.”

The player loved the show so much that she went through the entire series as soon as possible. Andreescu was confused why the show is receiving so much backlash.
Despite being on tour, the Canadian really liked the series. The inside view of the tennis players and their hardships have been correctly represented, according to Andreescu. “Yeah, I watched it all in basically one sitting.
