Carlos Alcraz receives some positive words from American tennis legend Martina Navratilova after the former rolled his ankle during the ongoing Rio Open.

Carlos Alcaraz rolled his ankle in the ongoing Rio Open 2024. The Spaniard was up against the local homeboy, Thiago Monteiro, in the first round of the tournament. It was just the second game of the match when the young talent, unfortunately, rolled his ankle.
The Spaniard was the runner-up of the tournament last year and was one of the top seeds as well. However, after this unfortunate take, Alcaraz’s run came to a halt.

Various tennis fans from all over the world have raised their concerns over the fitness of the 20-year-old. Tennis legend Martina Navratilova was very active on social media and wasn’t far behind.
The former American player was quick to react to the post shared by the Twitter page Tennis Channel regarding Alcaraz’s injury. Sending him well wishes, she shared some positive words for Alcaraz and his health.

Navratilova has had a keen eye on the Spaniard ever since his rise to the ranks. Moreover, after his triumph at the 2023 Wimbledon, the Spaniard revealed that he received some special tips from the American player who helped him during the tournament.
How serious is Carlos Alcaraz’s injury?
Even After Alcaraz sustained the injury, he was quite motivated to continue. However, he had to forcefully retire in the second game of the match.
At the time of writing, things are still in doubt about the seriousness of the injury. However, Alcaraz’s physios have informed him that the injury is not too serious.
