Rafael Nadal, who has now entered in his eighth quarter finals of the Wimbledon, has been going strong in the tournament so far where he looked overpowered on his opponents is now going to face Taylor Fritz in the Quarter finals on Wednesday on the centre court where both will meet against each other for the third time having met only twice before in the Acapulco Mexico in 2020 and ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells in the USA.

Rafael Nadal will be looking to take revenge of BNP Paribas open 2022 final against Taylor Fritz

Francis Roiz, Nadal’s coach at the Wimbledon firmly believes that Fritz is going to be a tough opponent to beat in the quarter finals.

“From a young age he promised a lot and right now his tennis has been evolving a lot. He has achieved his best results recently winning in Indian Wells. He hits the ball very well and before it was difficult for him to have good mobility. He moves much better and his ranking has gone up. It is very dangerous on grass because its impact makes the ball run a lot. We will have to have a great day to beat him.”

Rafael Nadal and Taylor Fritz have already met this year on one occasion where Fritz stood clear of Rafa in the final of BNP Paribas open in Indian wells where he also ended Nadal’s streak of winning in the 2022. Taylor Fritz defeated Nadal in straight sets 6-3, 7-6(5). The 20th-seeded American is now 1-1 against the fourth-seeded Spaniard after losing to him in straight sets in Acapulco in 2020.

As the coach believes Fritz is also a quality player, we would be having great match of tennis between the two where Rafael Nadal will be going for revenge and Taylor Fritz will want to have an edge over the 22 time grand slam champion.
