Daniil Medvedev shared a unique heartwarming moment with his baby daughter Alisa on the training court, as she handed over a tennis ball to her father. Alisa who has often watched the Russian on the court was elated to quickly give him a tennis ball.

Daniil Medvedev and his wife Daria were blessed with Alisa in 2022. The former US Open champion was back to training after a long break away from the court. The Russian had announced that he would take a time-out after suffering a defeat against Jannik Sinner in the final of the Australian Open.

In the clip shared by The Tennis Letter on X (formerly known as Twitter), Alisa trotted as fast as she could on the outdoor court. On getting to her father Daniil Medvedev; he smiled with a held-out racket. Alisa then cautiously placed the ball on the racket, eager to help her father with his training practice.

The Russian will be back in the court after a while away. He will compete at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis championship which starts on the 26 of February. Medvedev, who has only played in one competition this year would be yearning for his first title in Dubai.

Daniil Medvedev adds Gilles Simon to his coaching team

Daniil Medvedev has added Gilles Simon to his coaching team. The Russian who has been working with Gilles Cervara since 2017 has brought in Simon to reduce the stress of Cervera.

Former tennis player Gilles Simon will take on coaching duties in Cervara’s absence, making for a strong addition to the Russian’s coaching. Medvedev praised Simon’s addition to the team and said via Tennis Majors that he would help him become a better player and win more titles.

Medvedev said:

He is an addition to the team. He is going to help us move forward, help us win titles, and help me become a better player. We see how it goes. So far it has been going well. Hopefully, it is for a very long time but that depends on a lot of factors. We will see how much time he spends.
Daniil Medvedev said

There is no concrete information as to whether Gilles Simon will be in the coaching team in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis championship. However, with Medvedev aiming for his first season title, Simon may have his chance.
