However, everything was not smooth during their 3 set thriller. The spectators had gone berserk as they constantly heckled and booed Medvedev after the World No.3 lost his composure during crucial moments in the match. At one point in the match, the 2021 US Open champion could not control his emotions any longer and lashed out at one of the spectators, who was heckling him and challenged him to an intense altercation as well.

Daniil Medvedev does not have a good experience with crowd interaction. He has agitated the crowd several times in the past as well. Recently, the 2023 US Open finalist made the headlines for showing the middle finger to the crowd in Paris after his loss to Grigor Dimitrov, at the Paris Masters.

Fans who were following the semi-final clash between Medvedev and the young Italian pointed out the Russian’s childlike behavior as he lost his calm and composure during important moments of the match that eventually led to his defeat against the World No.4.
