World No. 68 Emma Raducanu is back in the market looking for a new head coach. Raducanu was last working with Russian coach Dmitry Tursunov, the former coach of Anett Kontaveit. Tursunov helped Kontaveit to a brilliant 2021 season and also took her to the World No. 2 spot.

Raducanu joined forces with Tursunov during the US Open Leg series this year with the Russian helping her to two quarter-final appearances. With many fans thinking Raducanu has finally found a good coach, the news of their split broke out and it now seems it was not completely amicable.

With Raducanu’s father reportedly being held responsible for her constant coach changes, Tursunov was found to have liked many tweets from his official handle where such speculations were raised. His activity gave further fuel to the fire that Tursunov was also dismissed possibly by Raducanu’s father.

Raducanu first came to the tennis world’s attention at the 2021 Wimbledon when she made it to the 4th round ranked outside the Top 300 thanks to a wildcard. By reaching the 4th round, Raducanu was the youngest Briton to do it and was then coached by the legendary Nigel Sears.

Raducanu parted ways with Sears following the Wimbledon and brought on Andrew Richardson who led her to the 2021 US Open title. But Richardson was also dismissed immediately following her win in New York shocking the tennis world over such a big decision.

The teenager then added Angelique Kerber‘s former coach Torben Beltz to her camp but sacked him in just five months. She was then helped by the LTA for the Clay season till she hired Tursunov who also is believed to have ‘left’ her rather than let go in less than four months.

Raducanu however now has only 1 tournament to focus on, the 2022 BJK Cup Finals. The teen had a couple of tournaments on the Tour but an injury will see her end her first full season due to injuries. She is however expected to be fully fit for national duty while she looks for a new head coach.
