Emma Raducanu will be a part of a tennis exhibition event in China. She will be joined by the likes of Juan Martin del Potro, Marat Safin, and Carlos Moya who are former ATP players. There will be some Chinese players in the event too. Chinese players like Li Zhe, He Yecong, Wang Xiaofei, and Wang Fa will feature in the event.
Emma Raducanu was expected to take the season off due to her having 3 surgeries recently. She is currently recovering and is nowhere near being fully fit. This caused her to pull out of the 2023 French Open and is also more than likely to miss the Wimbledon.
The event in China is named the International Tennis Masters tournament and is set to commence on June 2022 at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center. Raducanu is the only player from the WTA division being featured at the event in China.
Fans are confused about Raducanu’s decision. It is still not known whether she will be actually playing tennis or is just on the list to draw more audience. Fans are pointing out how it will not be safe for her to actually play before her recovery process is done, even the doctors would not permit it.
