Former Briton and US Open champion Emma Raducanu appeared in a track suit on Instagram. Being an ardent fan of Formula 1 and especially Lewis Hamilton, the British star always showed her love for cars and races. After the first-round exit in the Miami Masters, Raducanu is on a break until the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in two weeks.
Joking about her training sessions for the upcoming clay season, Raducanu captioned the Instagram picture, “Reviving the cooler Emma in a different type of workout.” The picture, as expected, received a lot of interactions. There were a section of fans who were asking her to concentrate on tennis as well in the comments.
Raducanu met Formula 1 champion driver Lewis Hamilton some months ago. She said about the meet-up, “At the Met Gala I spoke to Lewis Hamilton, which was really cool being such a fan of motorsport and Formula One. It was really nice to see him and speak to him there.” Even after her historic US Open triumph, Raducanu spoke about him, “He’s been such a good role model for me in terms of helping me out and through these next stages. He’s a really cool person.”
Tennis world expects Emma Raducanu to be strong in the clay season
The British World No.68 Emma Raducanu displayed high-quality tennis in Indian Wells until she met the in-form Polish World No.1, Iga Swiatek in the pre-quarter-finals. The Briton looked in great touch in the earlier three rounds. The former US Open champion is still trying hard to find the rhythm which gave her a maiden triumph in the US Open 2021. After that historical run, she failed to get past the second round in all the Majors.
The Briton’s first-round exit in the last tournament Miami Masters has left tennis fans furious with her disappointing performances. The Canadian former US Open champion Bianca Andreescu defeated her 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. Just before the Indian Wells Masters, the 2021 US Open champion gave her experience on how she overcame mental stress following the Australian Open 2023 defeat.
With the pressure of being on top, the British star has often failed to live up to the expectations after her maiden Grand Slam triumph in 2021. Currently ranked at 72, the British 20-year-old has already seen both the highs and lows in her tennis career. How Raducanu will bounce back in the clay swing is being looked forward to by tennis fans around the globe.
