In a remarkable achievement, tennis legend Roger Federer has announced that his foundation has surpassed its goal of serving 2.4 million children and 12,000 educational institutions around the world.
Federer has been involved in philanthropic work for many years through his Roger Federer Foundation, which was established in 2003. The Foundation’s mission is to support educational projects in Switzerland and other countries, particularly in Africa. Since its inception, the Foundation has been committed to improving access to education for children living in poverty and has partnered with local organizations to provide resources such as school infrastructure, teacher training, and scholarships.
In his recent tweet, Federer expressed his pride in the Foundation’s achievements, saying “that we have now reached our goal of serving over 2.4 million children and over 12,000 educational institutions.” This is a significant milestone for them and they are immensely grateful to their supporters, partners, and staff who have worked tirelessly to make this possible.
The Roger Federer Foundation is committed to providing access to quality education for children living in poverty. In March 2022, Federer pledged a large donation of $500,000 through his foundation to War Child Holland to support children’s education in Ukraine.
