Nick Kyrgios and Donald Trump

Australian bad boy Nick Kyrgios is one of the most controversial figures in modern tennis. Ever since his first big match against Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon, he has been in news for all the wrong reasons and to date hasn’t changed his ‘brat-like’ behavior. He has received multiple fines over the years for his on-court and off-court actions.

Back in 2017, Kyrgios wasn’t happy with ex-President Donald Trump’s actions and even publicly criticized him and slammed his actions. But he took things to the next level when he entered a press conference in Sydney wearing a t-shirt that said, “F**k Donald Trump”.

To make things even worse for himself, when asked about wearing the T-shirt, Kyrgios told the Australian media that the t-shirt pretty much explains what he wanted to convey. “It’s pretty explanatory,” he said.

He had also donned a t-shirt that displayed a picture of the US President, complete with devil horns. This was after he defeated Rafael Nadal in five sets in a Fast4 exhibition match. Even this gesture was considered going ‘overboard’ by Kyrgios.

Kyrgios has had many on-court meltdowns and off-court fights over the years. In almost every match he plays, he receives a warning or a penalty for his ‘fuming’ actions. Kyrgios, who is considered being one of the most talented players on the tour, has admitted that he has many temper issues.

This is visible in his mocking on-court behavior and his personal life too. Last year, he was accused of assaulting his then-girlfriend Chiara Passari, after which she lodged a legal complaint against him. The case is still in court. However, Kyrgios has shown a lot of improvement in his temper over the last few months for which he credits his current girlfriend, Costeen Hatzi.
