Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian is a very active person on social media and is an ardent follower of various sports including Formula 1. He is a big-time Mercedes and especially Lewis Hamilton fan. Hamilton and Serena are very good friends and are often seen rooting for each other hence Alexis too is spotted with Hamilton often.

Earlier this year, Alexis was seen cheering for Hamilton at the Miami Grand Prix and was also running to buy a stake in the Premier League club, Chelsea with the 7-time world champion. Lewis Hamilton has dominated the Formula 1 calendar for the last 7 years but with new regulations this season, Mercedes aren’t currently in title contention.

Hamilton and Mercedes haven’t won any race this season and are the third-best team after Ferrari and Red Bull. This last week at Paul Ricard, Mercedes registered their best result of the season with Hamilton finishing P2 and Russell finishing P3. This was after race leader at the time, Charles Leclerc crashed and was out of the race.

Alexis Ohanian reacts to Lewis Hamilton’s P2 finish at the French Grand Prix

Naturally, Mercedes, and especially Hamilton fans were elated after the conclusion of the French Grand Prix. Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams’ husband was also excited about the result and expressed his happiness on Twitter. He, in a very uncanny manner, lauded Mercedes and told Hamilton to drink some water after his exhausting drive.

“Double Podium @MercedesAMGF1 wtg @LewisHamilton get some water dude,” he wrote on Twitter.

Currently, Max Verstappen has a comfortable 63 points lead over Charles Leclerc followed by Sergio Perez at third in the championships. Mercedes driver George Russell and Lewis Hamilton are at P5 and P6 respectively.
