Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios just had his best season on tour this year. This is precisely in sync with his newfound love Costeen Hatzi whom he has been in a relationship for one year. The couple has shared a lot of pictures together and their one-year anniversary was celebrated weeks back.
keeping this in context, Costeen Hatzi who herself is a social media influencer was asked about her role in Kyrgios’ success this year in a recent Q&A session on Instagram but she refused to take credit for her boyfriend’s success. As quoted by her, “He’s an amazing player, I can’t take credit for his performances, he is an amazing tennis player anyway. We both support each other in our work and our aspirations, which is very important.“
The Australian World No.22 was having a tough year before having had to deal with depression. But now, he is back at his best. In recent weeks, he even posted a photo with Costeen Hatzi on their first anniversary with a caption saying “Thankful” for the positive changes in the year after he met her.
The couple was posting a series of cute pictures and videos on social media. During one of the other Q&A sessions on Instagram, Kyrgios was asked whether they are planning a baby. The Australian replied back stating ‘next year’ with a ring emoji as well. Kyrgios’ management later confirmed that the engagement is not yet done.

He was ranked outside the top 100 in January this year but climbed back inside the top 30.
The Australian superstar was looking in great shape at the US Open this year, but his dream run in which he overcame the defending champion Daniil Medvedev was shattered by another Russian Karen Khachanov in a 5-set-thriller in the quarter-finals. The Australian was at least expected to be in the finals after some master class serving throughout the tournament, but one day off cost him a great chance.
The Australian has qualified with Thanasi Kokkinakis as the 8th seed for playing doubles in the ATP finals, in Turin. This was the first time he has qualified for the ATP finals in any category but was lost in the Round Robin stage itself after losing 2 out of their 3 matches. If the Australian can keep his head straight and focus on his game on the court, we might see him playing in ATP finals singles shortly.
