In order to win his fourth championship of the year and fifth Masters 1000 title overall, Medvedev maintained his excellent run of form against Sinner and delivered a strong effort. The Miami Open’s total prize fund, which includes both the men’s and women’s competitions, is $8,800,000. Daniil Medvedev, the ATP champion, will be paid $1,262,220.

On Saturday, Petra Kvitova defeated Elena Rybakina to win the 2023 Miami Open women’s singles title and earn a check for more than $1.2 million. It was Kvitova’s maiden victory in the competition. The two-time Wimbledon champion has claimed her 30th WTA singles title with a straight-sets victory over Elena Rybakina at the Miami Open on Saturday. The victory, which came after a tight, serve-dominated battle, saw Kvitova triumph 7-6 (16/14) 6-2 at Hard Rock Stadium. 

Kvitova, who was appearing in her first Miami final at the age of 33, drew on all her experience to claim the victory. The first set was a marathon 30-point tie-break, with Kvitova eventually coming out on top. Equal pay is provided by the ATP Tour and the WTA, with the men’s and women’s sides receiving $8,800,000 each. Kvitova, who won, will be paid $1,262,220.

In the women’s singles final, Elena Rybakina faced off against Petra Kvitova in another closely contested match, ultimately falling just short of victory. Despite the defeat, Rybakina still earned a significant prize purse, with the runner-up taking home a total of$662,360 in prize money. Sorana Cirstea and Jessica Pegula, the losing semifinalists, each earned $352,635.
