“I have so much more for you to be mad at” Stefanos Tsitsipas responds to haters after his disappointing loss at the 2022 ATP Finals

Stefanos Tsitsipas had a disappointing end to his campaign at the 2022 ATP Finals as he failed to make it to the semifinals on his 4th consecutive qualification. He was unable to digest the loss against Andrey Rublev despite winning the first set which left him frustrated. He faced a lot of criticism for being a sole loser and was loathed. Tsitsipas gave a befitting reply in response to the haters.
He couldn’t respond to Rublev’s strong comeback in the second and third sets. The Russian player made fewer mistakes to stun the 2021 French Open finalist in three sets. Tsitsipas is known for his brat-like attitude and for his uncontrolled outbreak of emotions on the court in various instances that have left everyone in fury. During his third match of the group stage encounter, he was frustrated and smashed the ball in fury toward his box.
Post-match, Stef claimed that he was the better player of the match and made indirect comments at Rublev claiming that the Russian has very less tools with which he can win. This didn’t go down well with people and received a lot of hate. Stefanos Tsistipas posted a strong message to all the people who have been criticizing him for his behavior.
Stefanos Tsitsipas sarcastically advised them to have some patience as he might give them other chances to be mad at him. The post on his social media account in Instagram was captioned like “Dear haters, I have so much more for you to be mad at. Just be patient.”

The 2019 ATP Finals champion had a chance to claim the top spot in the ATP rankings with a condition that he needed to win each match in his group, the semifinals, and also the finals of the Year-end championship. But his dream was shattered as he lost two Group matches. It has been quite a decent year for the Mallorcan Open champion as he reached seven finals on the ATP Tour throughout the year and managed to win the title twice.
The 2022 Australian Open semifinalist went on to admit that he was preoccupied in his mind with the rankings and couldn’t play his usual game failing to deliver through crunch moments. Stefanos Tsitsipas claimed that he hopes to become the No.1 someday but right now, he wants his complete focus on playing good tennis.
