Martina Navratilova, the 65-year-old Czech-American former tennis professional is widely regarded as one of the greatest female tennis players of all time. With 18 grand slam titles to her name, Navratilova has etched her name among the all-time greats of the sport. After her retirement, Navratilova has become quite active on social media as she is often seen speaking up on many social issues.

Recently, Navratilova took to Twitter to express her thoughts on an incident in India that involved the beating of a Muslim man on the streets. In the explicit video, the man can be seen tied to a pole and being beaten with sticks. The video caught Navratilova’s attention and she wrote, “In what world is this ever ok? In which century are we?!?“

An user on Twitter pointed out that these types of incidents are very normal in India to which Navratilova said, “That doesn’t make it ok.“
