Italian Jannik Sinner recently discussed his relationship with Carlos Alcaraz in a recent interview. He openly spoke about his relationship with the Spaniard, the essence of their rivalry, and how they both try to push themselves to their best versions. “Every time I play against him, I feel like we both try to push ourselves to the limit. Both of us obviously hate losing, especially against each other,” said Sinner in an interview on the ATP Tour.
“We have a very good relationship off court. I feel like we are good friends, but still on court, you feel a little bit nervous because you want to win. You hate losing,” he further added.
Jannik beat Carlos in the semi-finals of the China Open, where he then moved on to the finals to beat Daniil Medvedev. The Italian beat Medvedev in two straight sets to win his third title of the year. This is his second consecutive win against the Spaniard.
