Jessica Pegula opens up about bond with Coco Gauff despite the teen pulling her leg.

Jessica Pegula, one of the top-ranked Americans on the WTA tour shared a fun incident involving her doubles partner Coco Gauff. Both the Americans teamed up in early 2022 and have since achieved a lot of success.
There is a huge generational gap between the two partners and naturally, Coco Gauff is more aware of the current trends than Pegula. The 29-year-old only realized their age gap when she hung out with her doubles partner more and realized that she was indeed way ahead of her in the current trends.
Due to this, the US Open winner pulls the leg of Pegula for not being more Gen Z and following up with the trend.
"She’s definitely Gen Z, No friction but she makes fun of me because I don’t know about any of the TikTok trends and stuff like that but it’s more poking fun at each other,” revealed the finalist of the 2023 WTA Finals.speaking with Forbes.
Both the partners have achieved a lot of success together. They have won 5 doubles titles. Other than this, they have reached the finals of the French Open and have climbed to the peak of the ranking table making them the number 1 rank.

Top Ranked Americans Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff are fierce rivals as singles but they are that much more in sync when playing doubles. There is a huge 10-year gap between the two and Pegula reveals that both of them learn a lot from playing against each other. She enjoys the journey they are having together and is hoping to try and get a medal at the Paris Olympics.
“Hopefully we can play Olympics next year, I know that’s a goal that she really wanted to try and get a medal there and for me too,” said the world number 3.speaking with Forbes.
Being a late bloomer in her career, Pegula started to impress the tennis world as she won the Korea Open and found herself in the finals for the WTA Finals. She was on a winning streak before losing to Iga Swiatek in the finals. Pegula has been one of the players who has a good rank in all the formats of the game, singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. By playing in all the tournaments, the 29-year-old is a player to watch out for.
