“Just awful” Martina Navratilova calls out for help while addressing Brittney Griner’s ‘POOR’ situation in the Russian prison

Tennis icon Martina Navratilova has once again reacted to Brittney Griner’s situation in the Russian prison. The jailed American basketball star was arrested in Russia a few months ago for possession of drugs, which she claims were unintentional. She was then sentenced to 9-years of prison by the Russian regime and the US government is trying every possible thing to bring her back.
Recently, her legal team informed everyone that Griner has been moved to a penal colony in Russia. However, her legal team doesn’t have any information on her location and other whereabouts. “Brittney was transferred from the detention center in Iksha on the 4th of November. She is now on her way to a penal colony. We do not have any information on her exact current location or her final destination,” the statement from her legal team read.
Last month, A Russian court rejected the appeal of her nine-year sentence for drug possession, and for now, her only hope is the US government. Navratilova took to social media to express her frustration regarding the whole Griner fiasco and raised her voice to bring her back home.
“This is just awful… bring Brittney home, please!!!!” Navratilova tweeted while sharing an article related to Griner.

She often calls out ex-President Donald Trump for his ‘typical’ thoughts. Recently, she criticized one of Trump’s statements and hilariously claimed that his attitude while losing is the reason why he never competed in sports. “Lol!!! This is why he never competed in sports- because you can only blame yourself for losing,” she said.
