The former world No.1 Karolína Plíšková was shocked by the type of performance that her 26-year-old opponent showcased against her. She would’ve expected an easy win against a player ranked above 200 but it seems that she underestimated the talent of her opponent.

Léolia Jeanjean won the match against a player ranked way above her and that too in straight sets showing her domination during the match. Her performance was so good that her opponent although a great player wasn’t able to put up any competition against her.

Jeanjean now moves onto round three and will be facing yet another great player the former world No.22 Irina-Camelia Begu from Romania. Although she has dropped in her rankings to the 62nd spot, Jeanjean needs to be careful to continue her winning run at the Roland Garros 2022.
