Novak Djokovic added another feather to his cap at the Rome Masters by winning 1000 tour-level matches. He defeated Casper Ruud in the semifinals in straight sets 6-4,6-3 to reach the Final and in the process, record his 1000th win. Djokovic has become only the 5th man in tennis history to complete 1000 wins, the other 4 being Jim Connors, Roger Federer, Ivan Lendl, and Rafael Nadal.
