Martina Navratilova calls Florida a ‘budding dictatorship’ after the WFLA abruptly stops Adam Kinzinger’s address where he was revealing Donald Trump’s secrets

Former tennis pro and a proud Democrat, Martina Navratilova recently fired shots at WFLA, a television station based in Tampa, Florida. The WFLA’s actions went viral during Congressman Adam Kinzinger‘s speech where he was spilling the beans on Donald Trump‘s tenure as a President.

While both Kinzinger and Trump belong to the Republican party, Kinzinger has often gone on record criticising his fellow party member. As he was speaking about Trump’s accusations of incorrect counting during the latest presidential elections, where current president Joe Biden got elected.

Kinzinger’s address was cut short and after a few seconds of a blank screen, the WFLA studio was shown before another show was telecasted instead. Navratilova took notice of this and said, “How is this for Cancel culture? This is censorship of the worst kind- welcome to Florida, a budding dictatorship.”

“Help us Floridians turn Florida democrat,” Fans react to Martina Navratilova’s tweet

With Trump remaining one of the most controversial politicians, Navratilova rarely misses a chance to call out the former president. With the coverage being cut, Navratilova connected the dots that it could have been done deliberately in order to not leak sensitive information out to common knowledge.

Navratilova’s tweet was quickly picked by many Twitter users who also called out the network for their actions during Kinzinger‘s address. Many questioned the channel for not allowing the truth to come out thereby violating the fundamental of journalism.
