Meghan Cortez-Fields, a student at the New Jersey Liberal Arts College, recently broke her college’s record in the women’s 100-yard butterfly swimming event. She was a part of the men’s team for three years and recently became a part of their women’s team after transitioning into a female. Many netizens have openly spoken against this and one of the biggest names among them is tennis legend Martina Navratilova

She has suggested the formulation of a different category for transgenders to solve this problem, as the status quo is extremely disadvantageous and, in fact, unfair to women.
