Martina Navratilova criticize Indian PM Narendra Modi for action against BBC
Martina Navratilova who is known for sharing her political views has criticized Indian PM Narendra Modi for taking unprovoked action against BBC following release of its documentary.

Rula Jebreal is a foreign policy analyst and author. She is also a visiting professor at the University of Miami. Recently, she shared her views on the recent action by the Government of India on British broadcaster BBC following the release of its documentary on 2002 Gujarat riots.
The tax officials in India raided BBC offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. She took to social media to express her views. She takes a dig at the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and called it clamp down on the freedom of the press.
“By raiding the BBC, Modi confirms his complicity+ coverup of 2002’s Gujarat pogrom: India’s Hindu PM is escalating his war on the free press, retaliating against the British broadcaster for airing a documentary exposing his role in murderous attacks on Muslims in Gujarat in 2002,” her caption read.
American tennis legend Martina Navratilova is one voice on social media that nobody can ignore. She consistently shares her opinions on essential issues and the issues that may perturb her. She is known to be candid about her political views and leanings.
In her latest social media post, she also criticizes Mr. Modi.
“Modi is just another dictator wannabe. Just how much will he succeed? Only time will tell but it’s not looking good so far…,” her caption read.

Martina Navratilova criticism of political leaders
The nine-time Wimbledon champion is known to unabashedly criticize political leaders. From members of Congress, former President Donald Trump to political leaders of other countries, Martina Navratilova have condemned them for their actions. She has many times challenged powerful people and gave her opinions on their policies.
This is the second time the two-time French Open champion has mocked the Indian Prime Minister in the last few months. She had also criticized him when a bridge in Morbi, Gujarat collapsed killing hundreds of people. She has constantly asked American citizens to arraign former President Donald Trump for the policy decisions he made during his tenure. Many times she has criticized his aides and his former ministers.
She has also criticized from time to time former President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro, and current premiers of China and Russia, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin respectively. However, she has high opinions for the former President Barack Obama and current US President Joe Biden.
Many people base their opinions on the three-time Australian Open champion’s views. Hence, her opinions are considered with a grain of salt.
