Martina Navratilova and JK Rowling are two very famous people in the trans community. Famous not because they are activists but because they are notoriously known for their transphobia. And once again, they are under criticism for speaking against the community.

Known for her very famous fantasy series Harry Potter, JK Rowling is very vocal about politics and current affairs. In a similar instance, she recently went to X (formerly Twitter) to claim that trans women are ‘not real’ women.

Rowling posted a photo that said, “Repeat after us: Trans women are women”. She quoted that photo with a ‘no,’ cementing her opinion on the trans women’s community.

As expected, she got called out by the LGBTQI+ community. A user on X took a screenshot of that tweet and posted it with a sarcastic, “Oh, but JK Rowling isn’t transphobic.” That is where former Wimbledon prodigy Navratilova stepped in. She took a jibe at that user and replied to that tweet, saying, “Stating a fact is not transphobic.”

Navratilova’s comment gives an insight into how she believes that trans women are not women but men. Earlier too, she has not shied away from calling trans women men posing to be women.

Navratilova’s mean take on Dylan Mulvaney’s identity

Dylan Mulvaney is a very well-known artist on the social media platform. She became famous when she got intensive facial feminization surgery (FFS). She is also a very vocal activist for trans women on the internet.

A few days ago, she was awarded the ‘Women of the Year’ award by UK-based magazine Attitude. It did not sit right with a lot of people on the internet. A netizen wrote, “Men make the best women, apparently,” in response to Attitude magazine’s tweet, announcing their decision.

Replying to this person, Navratilova also synchronized her opinion and wrote, “Again. Tell me how many females who identify as men have won any kind of a male award? How many? None that I know of.” She lashed at the magazine with her aggressive words.

These are just a few of the instances where Navratilova has been outspoken with her mindset. Other major instances include when she has spoken firmly against trans women participating in the women’s category in any sport.
