American tennis legend Martina Navratilova has earlier made her stance clear regarding trans men playing in the women’s division.
As per the former tennis professional herself, the women’s division of any sport is not the place for ‘mediocre’ male athletes to perform. Navratilova has also heavily criticized the transgender inclusion policy of the United States Tennis Association.
Moreover, the 67-year-old is continuously raising her voice against this injustice against women on X. A post surfaced on Sunday saying that a 13-year-old girl had lost her place in the women’s football team due to a boy has been making the rounds on the internet. As expected, this has caused a flurry of furious reactions on Twitter regarding these unjustified actions. Navratilova wasn’t far behind in reacting to this.

This sort of incident has been common in recent months. One of the news stories that also surfaced a month ago from the Illinois State Cyclocross Championship was that two of the three winners of the competition were trans men. And to no one’s surprise, Navratilova has heavily criticized this policy.

The former American player has called this participation cheating and has remarked that it is not at all good for the future of the sport. In this case, she has received support from Piers Morgan.
There were stances during which Navratilova took the stance for the LGBTQ+ community. But in this case, she has taken her stance for women, even if it means speaking against the LGBTQ community.
