Martina Navratilova is back taking digs at the Republican party and its members. The American tennis legend is known for her dislike of the Donald Trump-led party and Navratilova has done it again. While she spared Trump this time, the former tennis ace mockingly bid goodbye to Vivek Ramaswamy after news reports indicated that his presidential campaign might be over.

Navratilova has never liked Ramaswamy as a presidential candidate and has been critical of the American entrepreneur in the past. Now, news reports have surfaced that Vivek Ramaswamy has stopped spending on TV ads with less than a month to go before the Iowa and New Hampshire polls for the Republican Presidential candidate.

This has led to speculation that Ramaswamy might have started counting himself out of contention and hence his campaign has stopped spending on TV ads. Navratilova, meanwhile, mocked Ramaswamy as she claimed that he had been overtaken by Nikki Haley. The tennis legend shared a couple of posts on X mocking the Republican.

Bye, Vivek- your VP campaign is over for now…

Haley kicked your butt, Vivek…

Vivek Ramaswamy and his team explain the move

It seems Martina Navratilova has jumped the gun by mocking Vivek Ramaswamy as the Republican’s team has explained the rationale behind the move. Vivek Ramaswamy’s team has revealed that the campaign is shifting focus to personalized ways of communication rather than sticking to the traditional way of connecting with the voters.

We are focused on bringing out the voters we’ve identified — the best way to reach them is using addressable advertising, mail, text, live calls, and doors to communicate with our voters on Vivek’s vision for America, making their plan to caucus and turning them out.
Tricia McLaughlin, the campaign’s press secretary, told NBC News.

McLaughlin also explained that this decision was not taken abruptly, but it was all planned initially. Vivek Ramaswamy’s team is focused on staying “nimble and hyper-targeted in ad spending”.

Now coming to Navratilova’s second claim about Nikky Haley leaving behind Ramaswamy, the 67-year-old is right on target. The numbers indeed show that Haley is the second-best alternative for the Republican presidential candidate after Trump. Ramaswamy, meanwhile, is fourth in the race.
