Former tennis legend Martina Navratilova has earlier made her stance clear regarding trans men playing in the women’s division. She has remarked that the women’s division of any sport is not the place for mediocre male athletes to perform. Navratilova also had her say on the transgender inclusion policy of the United States Tennis Association. 

The former tennis legend is actively raising her voice regarding her strong stance on this matter. A Twitter post surfaced on the internet on Tuesday that shows that two of the winners of the Illinois State Cyclocross Championships are trans men.

As expected, this has sparked a storm of debates and discussions across Twitter. The tweet was posted by Riley Gaines. The English broadcaster and journalist Piers Morgan has reacted to the post by saying:

Morgan is well known to have a strong voice against the participation of trans men in women’s sports. Navratilova, too, has commented on the post shared by Morgan. 

She replied to Morgan saying:

 Women are standing up but it's mostly men who make the rules. And its male bodies who take advantage of these ridiculous rules.

The tennis legend is a gay rights campaigner herself, but she has a strong stance against the participation of trans men. She has faced immense criticism for her so-called “deeply homophobic” comments.

However, Navratilova has regarded this participation as cheating, and it is not at all a good trend for women’s sports.

Martina Navratilova has been a strong supporter of LGBTQ rights. However, there were circumstances when Navratilova took a stance for the LGBTQ community, but at the cost of huge criticism and toxicity against her.

However, now the former Wimbledon winner has taken her stance for women, even if it means that she has to speak against the LGBTQ community.

Navratilova is very vocal regarding her being a lesbian and how that has changed her life. In a recent interview with the Kara Swisher Podcast, the former Czech-American tennis player opened up about how her bank balance took a dip after the news of her being a lesbian came out in 1981. The brand deals stopped for her, and she lost a lot of money.
