Martina Navratilova SHREDS apart Donald Trump after the former President’s claim of being ‘indicted for the American people’

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova who is an outspoken advocate of progressive causes, never seems to miss an opportunity to attack former US President Donald Trump. Taking on the 45th American President for his public remarks about his recent indictment, Navratilova did not mince any words in her response.

Taking to Twitter, the 18-time Grand Slam Singles Champion lashed out at President Trump by tweeting, “Cry me a river, Donnie!”. Her riposte was directed against President Trump for his recent remarks about his indictment.

Speaking at ‘The Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference‘ in Washington DC, the 77-year-old former President who has thrown his hat into the ring for the 2024 US Presidential race said, “Every time the radical Left Democrats, Marxists, Communists and Fascists indict me, I consider it a great badge of courage.” President Trump went on to add, “I am being indicted for you, and I believe the you is more than 200 million people who love the country”

Martina Navratilova has ridiculed the right-wing many times

The Czechoslovakian-born US citizen has been very vocal on the micro-blogging platform, where she has, on numerous occasions, taken on the Republican Party and President Trump in particular. Navratilova, who recently declared that she is cancer-free, has taunted President Trump even before he entered the White House in 2017.

The tennis legend, who is also a well-known LGBT activist, has called President Trump a “bully,” a “liar,” and a “threat to democracy.” She has also criticized the GOP for its policies on immigration and LGBTQ rights.

In the past, Navratilova said that she tweets about politics because she feels a “moral obligation” to do so. She said she believes it is important to use her platform to speak out against injustice and challenge the status quo.
