Martina Navratilova recently shared an article giving voice to The Washington Post’s Sally Jenkins views in her latest social media post. Sally Jenkins works with the esteemed American newspaper as its sports columnist and she in a recent article, wrote about the failures of the LIV Golf tour. In that, she took a dig at the LIV Golf for failing to get as wide reception from golf enthusiasts as the league organizers had hoped for.
LIV Golf is a professional golf tour financed by the Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia. It is envisaged as a parallel golf tour comprising of golf tournaments that will be played across the world on similar lines to the PGA Tour.
However, the LIV Golf Tour failed to get the same kind of traction as PGA Tour has and is slowly disappearing from public consciousness or so is claimed by The Washington Post journalist. The 2023 season of the LIV Tour is about to start.

LIV Golf had made all the right noises at the start by signing on big names and former World champions such as Dustin Johnson, Charl Schwartzel, Graeme McDowell, Martin Kaymar, Lee Westwood amongst others on its roster. The Golf Tour also signed a deal to host three tournaments on Former President Donald Trump‘s golf courses in the 2023 season.
The first season was played out in 2022, however, the LIV Golf has not still been able to command the kind of respect in the minds of golf fans and players as the most prestigious PGA Tour has.

Martina Navratilova has been a huge critic of former US President Donald Trump
The nine-time Wimbledon champion is one of those few tennis players who love to give voice to her own opinions. She does so by wielding the power of social media. However, besides tennis, she is also known for her political views and many times she has taken a swipe against the former President.
Martina Navratilova about two weeks ago, shared an old picture of herself participating in a rally that was held on December 17-18, 2019 in support of the impeachment process against then President Donald Trump on social media. She is seen holding a placard “Nobody is above the law“. Thousands participated in this agitation with her.
“Still true today- NOBODY is above the law. Impeached twice – should have been convicted, especially the 2nd time,” her caption read.
The three-time Australian Open champion has also criticized Donald Trump’s supporters on many occasions. She continues to common people aware of her views despite waging a fight against health issues that have engulfed her. She is suffering from breast and throat cancer.
