“It’s not ok” – LGBTQ icon Martina Navratilova’s controversial advocacy against transgender policies in sports continue raging the tennis world
Navratilova maintains her strong stance regarding the participation of trans-men in women sports.

The American tennis legend, Martina Navratilova, has always made her stance clear regarding the participation of trans men playing in the women’s division. Navratilova has also criticized the transgender inclusion policy of the United States Tennis Association. She has remarked that the women’s division of any sport doesn’t have a place for mediocre men who are looking to take advantage of their male bodies.
Navratilova has been fairly active in her social media handles, where he posts frequently regarding her stance. In one of the posts, news surfaced that an anti-trans swimmer has cost a trans-teen to lose a volleyball scholarship.
The American Hall of Famer has reacted to the post by saying that,
Let’s not make this personal. It’s not ok for male bodies, however, they are identifying, to compete against female bodies. Period.
The post has garnered various outrageous comments. Certain groups of LGBTQ supporters have slammed Navratilova for these comments. On the other hand, some have understood the ideology behind the comments. According to Navratilova, the advantage that the trans-men have while participating in the women’s division is not at all fair in sports.
Martina Navratilova holds firm stance on participation of trans-men in women’s competitions
The former Wimbledon winner is a gay rights campaigner herself. However, she is strongly against the participation of trans-men in women’s division of the sports.
She has called this out as ‘cheating’ and has said this trend is very harmful to the future of sports in the coming years. She has received extensive support from Piers Morgan on social media regarding this stance.
Navratilova, being a campaigner for gay rights, has taken her stance for women, even if it meant that she has to speak against the LGBTQ community. She has been vocal about her being a lesbian and how that has changed her life. The tennis legend also spoke about the differences she has to go through in various podcasts.
