This season, the world No. 4 has already competed in five Tour finals, the most recent of which was in Miami, where he won his 19th championship on Sunday by defeating Jannik Sinner in straight sets. Medvedev has not traditionally been known as a strong clay court player, but he did reach the quarterfinals of the French Open last year, his best performance at Roland Garros to date.

Prior to the introduction of the clay season, Roger Federer 2006 was the previous player to make as many finals. Medvedev has dominated the ATP Tour thus far this year, winning more matches (28) and finals (4) than any other player.
