Nick Kyrgios, the 27-year-old Australian tennis professional is one of the best players in the world at the moment. Kyrgios has enjoyed a somewhat successful season this time around. He managed to reach the final of the 2022 Wimbledon where he was eliminated by Novak Djokovic.

After reaching the finals of Wimbledon, Kyrgios kept his form up in his hard court swing. The Australian went on to win the Citi Open and beat the likes of Daniil Medvedev in the tournaments. He was unable to keep it up in the US Open however as he bowed out of the tournament in the quarter-finals.

Nick Kyrgios is quite active on social media, the Australian is more popular for his antics on and off the court rather than his skills with the racquet. Kyrgios recently took to Instagram to give ratings to many top ATP stars in the way of NBA 2k22. To the surprise of many, Kyrgios picked Rafael Nadal as his top-rated player.

On his Instagram story, Kyrgios wrote, “My ratings are spot on in my opinion.” Kyrgios named six top players and gave them ratings, the players were Frances Tiafoe (92 rated), Nick Kyrgios himself (93 rated), Jannik Sinner (93 rated), Carlos Alcaraz (96 rated), Novak Djokovic (97 rated), and Rafael Nadal (98 rated).

Kyrgios picked 36-year-old Spaniard Rafael Nadal as the top-rated player according to him. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, it is no surprise that Nick Kyrgios also thinks that Rafael Nadal is the best player this season seeing the kind of year the Spaniard has had.

One of the top players missing from Kyrgios’ list is Swiss icon Roger Federer who recently announced his imminent retirement from tennis. It comes as no surprise as Kyrgios’ ratings were on a yearly basis and Federer has been unable to compete in tournaments this year due to his knee injury.
