WATCH: Naomi Osaka set to grace the court again as the two-time champion spotted practicing ahead of the 2024 Australian Open

As the former World No. 1 and Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka is all set to make her comeback into competitive tennis once again, she was spotted spending some time practicing ahead of her 2024 Australian Open campaign.

The two-time winner has been rigorously training to make a solid comeback to tennis after missing action for almost a year and a half.

She announced her return with her participation at the 2024 Brisbane International. She will next eye the first Grand Slam of the season.

The two-time US Open champion had a fairly good run in Brisbane, reaching the round of 32. She lost to Karolina Pliskova in a hard-fought, three-set thriller.

However, confident in her comeback, the four-time Grand Slam champion will now grace the court to feature in the Australian Open, all set to begin by mid-January.

Naomi Osaka last played at the Toray Pan Pacific Open, where she lost in the second round itself. Thereafter, she pulled out of the 2023 season after she announced her pregnancy with her rapper boyfriend, Cordae.

Returning to the sport after her pregnancy, she is all set to make a solid comeback to the sport after taking an indefinite break. She is finally back on the tennis court, much to the delight of her fans.

Apart from playing again, the Japanese has also mentioned how she aims to dethrone the current World No. 1, Iga Swiatek, and reclaim her lost position in the WTA rankings.

She comes with a strong set of goals and objectives and has openly stated how she will prove to be a threat to the top players in the women’s circuit as she contends for the Grand Slam titles in the 2024 season.

It will be interesting to see how well she performs and meets her objectives in the upcoming Grand Slam season.
