Cordae Amari Dunston is a 25-year-old American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He met Naomi Osaka in 2019. From then on, he has been spotted in Osaka’s player’s box, especially for the matches played in the USA. Cordae had revealed that he was never a tennis fan previously.

In an older interview Cordae said: “If you asked me about tennis, before being immersed in it because of Naomi (Osaka), I could only give you Venus and Serena Williams, you know? Because they’re just a part of the culture“. Osaka had also praised her boyfriend on numerous occasions for being there with her at important matches despite him not knowing any tennis rules at all.

Osaka has been always open to her mental struggles on and off the court. She had even withdrawn from the French Open 2021 stating mental health as the issue. This was open to a lot of criticism at that time. But as the days passed by, more people are seeing Osaka’s withdrawal as an inspiration to state its importance in this result-oriented world.
