Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz currently have the greatest and most exciting on-court rivalry in the world of tennis. All their matches are classics that amass record viewerships. The fact that both players are extremely competitive is what makes their matches so interesting to watch. The two are currently in Paris preparing for their respective Paris Masters campaigns and had a practice session against each other recently. 

A clip of their practice was shared on social media by TennisTV and it features some of the best shots that the players showcased in the practice. The quality of their practice session itself gives an idea of how great the battle between them will be if they face each other in the Paris Masters.

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the Paris Masters, respectively. Thus, they might only face each other in the final of the tournament. Fans will definitely hope that they both make it to the finals so that the world can witness another sensational battle between them.

The Paris Masters 2023 has already started on October 28th and will go on until November 5th. Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz start their respective campaigns on October 31st, directly from the Round of 32 alongside Daniil Medvedev, Holger Rune, Casper Ruud, Jannik Sinner, and Stefanos Tsitsipas. 

Can Carlos Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic to become the year-end World No. 1? 

Novak Djokovic replaced Carlos Alcaraz to become the No. 1 player in the world rankings after winning the 2023 Cincinnati Open and the US Open back to back. The Spaniard aims to win his position back by the end of 2023 to become the year-end World No. 1. However, the challenge ahead of him is enormous.

The Serb currently has 11045 points, while Carlos Alcaraz has 8625 points. There is a points difference of 2420 between the two and it will be very difficult for the Spaniard to overcome this by the end of the year as there are not many tournaments left.

However, he will have a chance if he wins both the Paris Masters and the ATP Finals back-to-back and Novak Djokovic fails to perform well in them, the possibility of which is very low.
