Novak Djokovic has been one of the best players to step foot on the tennis court. His tennis career hasn’t been only about laurels, but also about the dominance with which he plays the game.
Besides, the on-court activities, he also has the Novak Djokovic Foundation, through which he intends to support to the needy. The foundation has also been really active during the pandemic era.
On 10th February, Saturday, the social media handle of the Serb announced that their foundation will be constructing a kindergarten for 60 children in the village of Rvati. They also revealed that the foundation initially raised €87,111 for the initiative. However, later on, the amount was doubled by the founders of the organization, Novak Djokovic and Jelena Djokovic. The combined sum stands at €174,222.
Every child deserves their place in kindergarten. And with your and our help 60 children from the village Rvati in Raska will get their kindergarten. And the opportunity to grow up in a safe and encouraging environment. Kindergarten in Croats was our primary goal. Novak Djokovic Foundation continues to work for the betterment of children
Djokovic and his wife’s foundation has strived to provide the children in Serbia with a better future and facility. The foundation has already invested around €15 million in Serbia and has built around 58 pre-schools. It has impacted the lives of around 54,800 children.
The main motto of the foundation is to provide schooling facilities to every child in Serbia by 2030. Every December, which is called by them as the ‘season of giving’, the foundation appeals for donations and builds pre-schools in various parts of Serbia. Last year a similar school was opened by the foundation in Odzaci.
