The entertainment does not stop at the Rod Laver Arena as Novak Djokovic takes on homeboy Alexei Popyrin in a late-night clash.
The promising match between the two athletic players had it all, as the match was full of drama and a whole lot of entertainment. A hard-serving Popyrin was up against one of the best receivers, Djokovic, which involved the crowd as well.
During the fourth set, Djokovic confronted a fan who said something about the Serbian. Notwithstanding it, the defending champion went up to the fans and angrily told them to come down and say it. The whole stadium was in pin-drop silence as Djokovic left, staring at the guy.
It was like the guy poked a bear, as Djokovic shifted gears and went on to hit some ridiculously good shots to win the crowd over. Right after the encounter, he broke Popyrin and held his own set, giving him a strong lead in the fourth set.

Continuing to glare at the guy, Djokovic went on with the set. This was not the first time that Djokovic engaged with the crowd, who is known to get pumped up because of the crowd. A pumped-up Djokovic closed out the match in style to see himself through another week at the Australian Open.

Day 4 of the Australian Open couldn’t have ended any better as it was the defending champion closing out the day in a highly electrifying match.
Novak Djokovic was up against the young Australian Alexei Popyrin in a battle of shots. Both players went back and forth with their shots to win the games and entertain the crowd.
A mighty Djokovic continued his amazing work at the Slam and won his second-round match in a four-set thriller.
With the shift in momentum at the tie-break, Djokovic managed to let his emotions rip before closing out the match 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-3.
However, to the despair of Djokovic’s fans, he continued to struggle with the right forearm as the Serbian was seen shaking his wrist now and then.
Even though he won the match, the arm will be on the back of his mind which may be a huge setback in the later stages of the tournament.
