The former world No.1, Novak Djokovic once again silences hecklers who are calling him Roger Federer in the Australian Open. The Serbian star is once again taunted by these heckles for the second consecutive match. Earlier this week, during his second round, he was mocked by some fans who were drunk. A similar incident took place in his third round too against Grigor Dimitrov.

When Novak was about to serve during the match, a fan shouted ‘Come on Roger’, to which the Serbian didn’t react then. He instead went on to win that point and later came back to stand in his place. This silenced the fan and he never shouted again during the entire match. This was a perfect answer from Novak to these kinds of situations.

Novak is used to these kinds of taunts from the audience all his career. Especially, when this Serbian is facing either Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer, fans tend to bully Novak. It’s not fair on him, but these heckles only made him stronger mentally.

In the previous match, he was furious about those few drunk fans and complained to the chair umpire, however, he didn’t bother to react this time. The commentator calls this incident by saying “Oh the irony of that after somebody called out ‘Come on Roger’ that Djokovic goes around the net post with a forehand.”

Novak Djokovic goes past Grigor Dimitrov into round four

Novak Djokovic reaches the 4th round of the Australian Open for the 15th time in his career. Earlier today, he won comfortably against the Bulgarian star, Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets. The three-hour match saw a score line of 7-6(9-7), 6-3, 6-4 in favor of Novak. While this edition of the Australian Open already saw some big upsets among the top seeds, Novak is still acing his game at the age of 35.

Although Dimitrov had more winners and aces in the match, Novak had some amazing rallies throughout. The Bulgarian could only give a tough fight in the first set and then he was nowhere in competition with Novak. The 35-year-old will next face the local boy, Alex de Minaur in the fourth round. It’ll be an interesting context as Alex got a lot of local support.
