Rafael Nadal has been the center of attention for quite some time now due to his non-involvement on the tennis court for over a year now. The tennis legend has suffered through various major injuries over the course of his career, keeping him away from the court from time to time, but due to his growing age, the recovery from the injury he suffered way back in the 2022 Wimbledon Championships has taken a lot of time.

In this phase, his rival Novak Djokovic has leapfrogged him in terms of Grand Slams, and Nadal was not too bothered by that at all when he appeared in an interview with Movistar a few days ago. He was asked about his continuation in the sport and his plans after retirement. Nadal stated that he would love to take up coaching responsibilities after he hangs up his racquets but would first love to finish off the project that he dreamt of when he started it a couple of years ago.

Nadal initiated a new academy for tennis stars across the world a couple of years ago and is working desperately to improve it, thereby hoping to take it to the next level. He said, “I have projects underway, and I think things will develop naturally. If today I said goodbye to tennis I have things to do. The Academy is an important project for me. I don’t think I’ll be a full-time coach, but maybe I will. At the end of the day, I come from tennis and it’s very important in my life.”

Ruud has improved his clay game, taking it to a whole new level, which has also helped him win three major clay titles and emerge as the runners-up of Grand Slam tournaments on two occasions. With the help of Toni Nadal, the institution is reaching its peak day by day, drawing the attention of more and more tennis stars.
