Rafael Nadal’s outfit for the 2022 US Open revealed!

Nadal clutching tighter to the US Open makes him all the more human

Rafael Nadal started the year with a bang, winning his second Australian Open title after 13 years, making him the second man in the Open Era after Novak Djokovic to win all four slams twice. He went on to win his 14th Roland Garros title a few months later, taking his tally of grand slams to 22, making him the all-time leader in men’s tennis. Nadal even managed to reach the semifinal of this year’s Wimbledon, where he was due to face Nick Kyrgios but pulled out due to an abdominal tear.

He is currently recovering from his injury and will be looking to hit the practice courts sometime before the hard court swing begins in August. He will play at the Montreal and Cincinnati Masters events before playing in Flushing Meadows. His outfits for the Masters events have also been released.

The Spaniard will be wearing outfits from Nike’s latest tennis collection. He will be seen in an all-new color scheme of maroon. It looks like a single-tone outfit, with maroon dominating the color scheme with streaks of pink in the front along the collarbone. The Nike logo and his trademark “Raging Bull” logo have been prominently featured in white on the front. The color of his shoes has not been revealed yet.

Is a 5th US Open on the cards for Rafael Nadal?

After this year’s Australian Open, my belief in the never-say-die attitude of Rafa has been reinforced. It goes without saying that this man is a threat on every single surface and should never be counted out. With the possible absence of Wimbledon champ Novak Djokovic, Rafa might like his chances at the US Open.

With the majority of the younger lot being inconsistent at grand slams, there are not a lot of players who can prove to be a threat. Chief among the players who may be a threat to his campaign is Daniil Medvedev, the defending champion. The lanky Russian is at his best on hard courts and has twice gone the distance with Nadal on hard courts here and at the Australian Open and may finally get him this time around.

Fellow compatriot Carlos Alcaraz is another who may be dangerous. The young Spaniard has grown strength to strength in the past year and has established a very good record on hard courts this year. His stamina and athleticism, reminiscent of a young Rafa, may be too much to handle.
