“Register or go to prison” Martina Navratilova vents out her frustration after the dreadful shooting incident in Texas

Martina Navratilova expresses her frustration on the lawmakers after the horrific incident at the Robb Elementary School
Former World No. 1 and one of the most decorated tennis players, Martina Navratilova was one of the millions shaken to their core upon reading the news of the school shooting in Texas on Tuesday, 24th May 2022. The incident took place at the Robb Elementary School in the town of Uvalde in Texas where 19 school kids along with 2 teachers were opened fire upon by an 18-year old gunman identified as Salvador Ramos.
The incident has become the bloodiest school massacre in the USA and the loss of life has been difficult for people to comprehend. As per the recent reports, Ramos had earlier shot at his grandmother and then entered the school after crashing his vehicle near the school compound and started firing indiscriminately. All the victims were believed to be in nearby classrooms and were gunned down by Ramos before he was shot dead in the firing of the police.
Addressing the issue, US president Joe Biden ordered all American flags to fly at half-mast for the week in honour of the victims while expressing his condolence to the families of all affected by the shooting incident.
Martina Navratilova says America has terminal violence illness

Amidst this, the issue that has come to attention yet again is the easy access to guns for the citizens. The ease with which an 18-year old was able to procure semi-automatic guns and cause this tragedy has once again questioned the law in the USA about managing the weapons.
Martina also raised a similar question through her Twitter handle saying, “Our country has a terminal violence illness… so sad and for the most part preventable… just so sad #guncontrol NOW!!! Register every damn gun out there or go to prison!!!!”
