In a recent interview with CNN, tennis legend Roger Federer discussed coaching in professional tennis and disclosed his personal perspective on the subject. Federer, known for his extraordinary court skills and remarkable successes throughout his career, has stated that the typical type of coaching offers obstacles for him owing to family obligations.

Federer, a proud father of four children, including twin boys and twin girls, stressed the value of being there for his family. He stated, “I think the coaching on the tour, like we know it, is difficult for me. Having four children at the age of, twin boys nine now and twin girls 14, I want to be there for them and I can’t see myself going on tour, honestly.

The Swiss tennis legend’s devotion to his family is palpable as he struggles to manage his professional and home lives. He admitted that his personal commitments come first and that committing to a full-time coaching post on tour would severely limit his availability to his loved ones.

Federer did, however, indicate interest in other coaching arrangements that would allow him to continue contributing to the tennis industry while still fulfilling his family obligations. “If it’s mentoring or if somebody comes to Switzerland and says, ‘Look, let’s have a good week,’ I can see that happening in the future,” he said.
