Taiwan duo claimed first set supremacy

The pair of Liang Enshuo and Huang Conghao asserted their dominance in the Asian Games 2023 doubles final, claiming the first set with a comfortable 6-2 triumph over Bhosale and Bopanna.

The statistical breakdown of the first set sheds light on the match’s dynamics. Enshuo and Conghao outperformed Bopanna in first-serve accuracy, with a commendable 65% success rate compared to 50% for Bopanna. The Indian duo, particularly Bopanna, used strong first serves to their advantage, delivering two aces and scoring on 12 of 17 first serves. Despite their consistency, the Taiwan duo bore the brunt of Bopanna’s powerful serves.

The overall score for the second set favored Bopanna and Bhosale, who had 29 to Enshuo and Conghao’s 22. The Indian pair’s success on both first and second serves was critical in clinching the set.
