American sensation Coco Gauff has been climbing the rankings ever since she turned pro. Advancing through the many stages of a tournament, the 19-year-old won her maiden Grand Slam at the 2023 US Open.
Having entered Australia as World No. 4, the youngster played extraordinarily well to reach the quarterfinals.
Although she did lose a set against Marta Kostyuk in the quarterfinals, the young prodigy fought back to win the match before facing a tough loss against the defending champion, Aryna Sabalenka, who went on to win the Slam.
Despite a tough loss, the youngster is already back in training and is only aiming to move forward as time progresses. Many tennis enthusiasts, including the legendary Rick Macci, expect more from the US Open champion.

After becoming the youngest US Open winner, the 19-year-old entered her second consecutive Grand Slam semi-finals at the Australian Open.
After running through her previous rounds with ease, she fell short of Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-finals. Gauff might have ended her run in the semifinals, but she also reached a career-high ranking of World No. 3.
