Marketa Vondrousova, the Czech tennis player, is a silver medalist at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. She reached her first maiden final in the 2019 French Open where she faced defeat from Ashleigh Barty. Vondrousova is a former world No. 1 junior having won two Grand Slam doubles titles. She plays the drop shot very well and is one of her signature shots. She is still to win a singles Grand Slam title. She did not participate in this year’s Roland Garros due to surgery on her wrist. She even did not play at the SW19 after that.

After her surgery, she shared a post stating that “I have been experiencing a lot of pain. After consulting with my doctors, I decided to get the surgery done to be able to play again“. Though she has been missing in action for a long time, she is in a good space personally. She had gotten engaged to her long-time boyfriend since the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Marketa Vondrousova’s tattoos are one of the major talking points whenever she steps on the court.

Recently, she shared on her social media in Instagram announcing her marriage with her fiance Stepan Simek on July 16, 2022 amid the presence of her near and dear ones. She captioned it as “Simkovi #16072022”. She looked breath takingly beautiful in white gown with a long trail behind her while Stephan wore a black three-piece tuxedo with a tie. They both complimented each other very well. Marketa Vondrousova’s husband is Stepan Simek, and the couple got married in 2022.
