French professional player Adrian Mannarino has delighted the internet with his stunning ‘tweener’ against Federico Coria in the first edition of the United Cup. The shot has already become one of the most memorable ones of the event. In the tie, Mannarino defeated Coria by  6-1, 6-0.

Tweener is a difficult tennis shot where a player hits the ball between his or her legs. World No. 46 Mannarino has played some amazing shots earlier too. But this one comes at the beginning of the season making it more special.

Mannarino talked about the shot in the post-match press conference. “That was a good point,” he said. “I was leading pretty easily in the score, so I could afford to try some shot. Actually, that was the only way for me to hit the ball. I didn’t even ask myself what should I do, so I just went with the feeling,” he further added.

Running against the opponent’s direction, tweener is one of the most difficult shots. Swiss maestro Roger Federer was one of the biggest practitioners of the shot. Other famous players to have shown their skills with the shot are Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, and Simona Halep among others.

The reactions of the fans on Twitter were interesting. “Nasty”, one of the fans wrote. Here are some of the other reactions.
